Was it your fault??? Did you start the war, did you ask to be placed in harm's way??? Hell we were all cherries and we all made mistakes but the thing is we all tried as hard as we knew how and did the best with what we had. There are so many of us that live with guilt on a daily basis, survival guilt mostly and it has been with us for decades. I cannot tell you to just let go of the guilt but I can tell you that there was no fault for that war, no blame, just young men and women in the wrong place at the wrong time doing what was necessary to survive.
