Terry and I were in flight school together and graduated 8 Nov 66. We got to pleiku about 6 December 66. We were at lane field on operation Thayer 2 when the patches came in about Feb. 67. I think they were sent from the states and must have had 2 back grounds one for blue tails and one for yellow tails NOT sure.
My memory is getting spotty. but the patches could not have been any earlier than about late jan or early Feb. because of the turn around mail time.
