Flight,
Mabey its "CRAFT" or mabey it was never discussed but I was wondering how the EM Club got its name. Does anyone know?
I never spent much time at the Club since we had a Frig and a Bar in our Hooch. It was usually well stocked with what ever beer we could get and we usually had a few bottles of hard stuff. We all chipped in a few bucks to stock it the first time and then paid as we drank. This covered the restocking cost. If other people came in and drank we charged a little extra.
I remember the bar top and much time we spent on it. Had it covered with Playboy Center Folds and coated with Varnish to protect them. Also had a TV on top of the Frig for Armed Forces TV and several of us had stereo systems and a wide range of music. One of the CEs (Osborne I think) had a DJ in NJ that would send a tape of the top 40 each month. I guess we had our ways to get away from crap if only for a short time.
Willie, do you remember the sheet of plywood on the wall at the end of the Hooch. We used it to practice bayonet throwing
