We can't pull a mold from a regular set of wings because the cast wings are 18 inches long and regular wings are about 3 inches max. The cast wings are designed to be displayed on a desk or wall. The Memorial plaques are designed to be bolted to a memorial stone or wall of some sort. I am talking some major league casting here. We are melting flying machines LOL. At least our vendor is. As the year passes we ( I?)will be looking at designing other things to be cast from the melted choppers. If you (or any of you guys) have ideas (and a pattern?) let me know. It would be nice to have a carved gator emblem, say about 10 inches or so in size cast from melted hueys and cobras. I think I can get a limited run of about 25 or so done for maybe 30 or 40 bucks or so each. Getting the pattern is the problem. But it would really be neat to have those on our walls and on the wall of the gator den at Huey's farm. I doubt any other Nam aviation unit members would have such a thing so we'd be pretty unique in that respect .(sort of like in Nam)
