Ron, we had one 100% alert during the monsoon. Everybody was on the perimeter, 3 or 4 guys awake in one of those sandbagged huts on top of the bunker, everybody else asleep on the ground around the bunker.

I forget who it was; it was teeming rain and the guy was on an air mattress and had tucked himself under a poncho on the mattress and gone to sleep. Every few minutes the rainwater would pick that air mattress up and float the guy a little further down towards the wire.

We were on top of the bunkers in stitches laughing; somebody finally woke him up just before he floated into the wire. Wish I could remember who it was. Had to be one of the guys in First Flight, he was right next to our bunker.
