Well now we have to kill you. Remember the big gaps in the dial as you tried to tune in some music from AFRN while flying to Dak To or some other place.

Dana was the master of the dial. He would sit on the floor with his can of club soda in one hand and a cigarette hanging in his lips as he tuned in the "The God of Hell Fire" or some other tune.

The famous long count. As hard as we tried I don't think we ever found anybody with that unless they popped smoke when we got close to them. The Air Force spotter had a better unit because when we were flying SOG they always seemed to find the guys on the ground faster then us. Maybe they were used that stuff more. The only time we would use it to get some where was during the monsoon when the clouds were low and we were above them trying to find a hole to drop thru.
