Speakin o'legal and un-legal, I was 23 and an E5
at Holloway, and couldn't legally buy a bottle of
hootch. Bn Cdr said gotta be 25 and E5, or E-6 and up... I later knew a guy (combat engineer) who left as an E6 after arriving as a PFC. I saw all his orders, and his ID card. Age 20 as an E6....
