Guys, I gave the initial crewmember's wings pattern to the foundry today. They will cast some wings, work on the mold,then cast artist's proofs. The crew member wings will be ready in Jan. They are made of melted huey and cobra fuselages. Every dime above the foundry costs goes to The National Vietnam War Musuem. My costs and time are volunteered. The wings will cost 30 bucks each. I may be in Atlanta for the June VHCMA reunion peddling wings. Let me know who is interested in helping sell or buy them. The first artist's proof, set number one goes to our gator guy Ron Carey for his act of kindness to a fellow gator's daughter. The other 10 proofs are up for grabs. They will have my signature and the museum logo on the certificate.
Mark, I talked to the foundry guy today. He assured me the memorial wings plaque to your brother's flight will be ready in Jan., so it is an "on" deal for the presentation in July.I'll send you pictures as soon as I get the memorial.
