You're making work for this. Troop B of 7/17th their scouts and guns were called red and white until 1969 when they changed to scraphunters and something else. I can't find any reference to tornadoes. The 1/10th Cav had the nickname of something which I thought might be something to do with a storm. I checked some after action reports from that time and Troop D 1/10th scouts and guns were mentioned several times. I will continue to dig. The Cav. units were the first ones to set up hunter teams and they were the first with cobras. I don't remember seeing a cobra until June or July of 68. The 361st showed up at Holoway without any cobras. They had a few UH-1C and traded them in when the cobras showed up. I keep digging.
