Since Tail Rotors took quite a bit of abuse the engineers must have figured that the break easy model (Thats all we had) gave up before it could transfer the shock to the Tail Boom or Tail Rotor Drive Shaft. What they failed to consider was the shock that was coming due to the lack of a Tail Rotor. We had GREAT Pilots but no Tail Rotor at speeds under 50 knots was tough.

This reminds me of one of those no tail rotor days. I write it up later to post.
