Hi Honey!

I知 sorry I did not write yesterday but we had a very busy day. Being new to the job of Crew Chief I had a lot of things to do. My ship was due for a Periodic Inspection and that took me a lot of time. I know what to do but am being very careful to make sure everything is OK. Once I had finished with it I had to get my work signed off by the Tech Inspector Thank God everything was OK.

Right now I知 at a place called Nha Trang on the coast of Vietnam. We have a VIP flight today with some General and two of his staff members. They are here for a meeting and then we have to fly them back to Kontum. Not much to do except sit and wait so I知 catching up on writing. We could see the South China Sea from the air the water color is a deep blue green. Nha Trang is a very large city compared to Pleiku and the other places I have seen in the Highlands. The flight here took us east from Pleiku through the pass, lets see if I can get it right, Mang Yang Pass to AN Khe then south and east to Nha Trang. We were at an altitude of 7000 ft. all the way through the pass then dropped down to 5000 ft. for the rest of the trip. That Pass is where the French got there buts kicked at a place called Dien Ben Fo (not sure if I got that right) but its not a very safe place.

I hope things are going well for you. Gotta go Mr. Dobbs is on his way back and he just gave me the sign to get ready to go. I Love You and I値l write again soon.
