When I decided to post my letters I knew there were several dates that would be difficult. This is just one of many that are forever etched in my mind. As you have noticed I had not been flying very long at this point and it took quite a few days to get a grip on it. I had the pleasure of meeting Captain Speare's sister at the VHPA in Vegas last year. We had conversed via email so I knew she would be there. I brought some rubbings from "THE WALL" to give to her since I knew she has never been there. Prior to that I had emailed pictures of the Panel and the names of the crew. She is quite a lady and very proud of her brother.
