This is one of the times I draw a blank. So much happened during that month and a lot of the things I wrote in my journal seem somewhat confused. I lost my ship on Nov. 11th in the same area as Gator 519. I bounced around on several ships because of the shortage of ships and crew chiefs. Gator 297 was lost at the end of the month. In Dec we were RON for thr entire month at Lane Army Airfield supportting the ROK's. I went on leave in Jan. and didn't return until Feb. Maybe that's why I don't remember who was with Huey that day. He might have returned and went to the Crocs instead of returning to the first flight platoon. I went to the Crocs at the end of April of 69. Mr. Waldron and Mr. Garrison were my A/Cs and I had Croc 242 (Croc 4). I remember you replacing Jon-Jon, (Capt Van Leer) but I never had the chance to fly with you. Between the move to An Khe in July and then getting the hell shot out of my ship near LZ Hardtimes in Aug. my world was pretty small.
