Dear Lorraine,

Hi Honey! Sorry I missed the last two days writing but things have been very hectic around here. It seems to have settled down now and maybe we can get some needed rest. I have some small things that need to be fixed on my ship but they are not flight effecting so I let them go while things were busy.

I know my last few letters were downers but that’s the way I felt and I knew I could talk to you about it. I’m OK now. I got 3 letters from you today and it really helped. I’m glad you stopped in to see my parents I know it helps them.

Things around here should be calm for a while. The rumor mill says that it’s pretty quiet in the field. We spent today with mostly re-supply missions and brought a few guys in from the field who will be going home in a day or two. I had a half way decent meal today not sure what kind of meat it was. I usually keep a few cases of C-Rations on the ship since we never know when or where we will get to eat.

I’ll write more later. It’s still light here and I have to replace the Force Gradient control before Mr. Dobbs has my ass. I tried to get one from supply a few days ago but they were out, when I got back today I checked again and got one. I know you have no idea what I’m talking about so I’ll put it this way. It’s part of the control system for the Tail Rotor and when it’s not working the pilot has to keep constant pressure on the foot pedals.

Love Tom
