Dear Lorraine,

Hi Honey! How are You? Things here are fairly quiet contact with the NVA has slowed down so we have been flying mostly re-supply missions. The days are still long and not all of the areas we are flying in are considered friendly. I know I have missed several days writing and I’m sorry, it’s just that I haven’t had a lot to say. I still miss you very much think about you every day.

I got a letter from my mom today and they are doing well. She said she still watches the news everyday thinking she might see me. When dad gets home from work every day he asks if there is any mail from me. I think that’s a hint that I should write more. I haven’t told her what happened last week and I don’t plan to. She is worried enough. I had guard duty last night and have today off. My ship is in for inspection and will not be finished until tomorrow. When I finish this I’m going over to the hanger and keep an eye on the guys that are working on it. I trust the guys in the maintenance platoon but I just feel better if I know what’s going on.

I’m glad to hear that you got back to studying again, you have put a lot of time in to your education and only have one more year to go. I’m not sure if I will go back to school when I get out of the service. That’s over a year away so I have lots of time to think about it.

That’s all for now, I’m heading to the hanger. I Love You very much.
