Dear Lorraine,

Hi Honey! As you have noticed I have gotten in a slump with the letter writing. I tried to start a few times with no success. For some reason I get depressed when I start writing and thinking about being so far away. I知 going to start taking my paper with me during the day that way when we have some down time I can try to write. Please don稚 give up on me I think I just need a little more time to adjust to being here.

I got the picture you sent and I love it. I have it hanging up in my wall locker where I can see it every day along with the cards you have been sending. Things over here are still fairly quiet. We have been flying around a place called Dak To and another place called Plei Djereng. Both a north of Pleiku. Were doing mostly re-supply missions. Dak To is a Special Forces camp and does not look very safe. It is located about 13 miles east of the border with Laos and Cambodia.

We are not sure what if anything is planned for Thanksgiving. I知 sure we will be flying Hot Meals out to the guys in the field. I知 OK with that, they have it pretty rough and deserve all the help we can give them. It will also keep my mind off not being home and all the good food I値l be missing. For a change of pace tonight I知 going to the EM club with some of the guys. We can raise a little Hell, have a few drinks or beers, and get a change of scenery.

I知 going to try to write again tomorrow.

I Love You
Tom
