Dear Lorraine,

Hi Honey! Today is Pay Day so when I get a chance I get a money order to send for your Christmas present. I’ll also get some stamps for you so you can keep the mail coming. I got more mail from you today and you are doing better than me with writing. I can’t tell you how much that means to me.

We had one CA this morning and then got the rest of the day off. That was a big help since I had several things to repair on the ship. My gunner and I repainted the cargo floor, it was looking pretty rough. Mr. Dobbs and Mr. Daniel came down to help, that was a shock.

I’m still down in the dumps about being here but I think my mind has realized that it’s going to be a long time. As long as were flying time seems to pass quickly, it’s the down time that seems to drag.

I wish I had more to say but like I said before writing depresses me. I start thinking about all the good times we have had and then I get Home sick. I’ll try to write again tomorrow.

Love Tom
