Re: 119th Yearbook on eBay
In Response To: 119th Yearbook on eBay ()

I think there were at least 3 "volumes" of the Yearbook. The one I have (and Shoofly and Gene and Touch and Mike Reber and Mix and everybody else I know) is what I refer to as the "Common" version. In one of the photos in that yearbook, there are two guys looking over what appear to be yearbooks, with Sgt. Falcon (sp?) watching, and a caption that says "Where's mine?". This appears to be volume I, and would probably be for the last half of 1969. Then comes volume II, my "Common" version. On Carl LaMonica's Camp Holloway website are several pages of photos; and one of them has cover pages from yearbooks from most of the 52nd's units. The one for the 119th has Maj. Wagner as CO; he didn't take over from Maj. Conrad until Sep 70: this must be volume III; and is for the last half of 1970. I would personally love to get my hands on copies of Vols. I and III. I e-mailed the guy auctioning this book, and he says it has Maj. Conrad as the CO; so this apparently is the "Common" version -- the Spring 1970 timeframe.

The guy says he is amazed at the response he has gotten from this book. I, like everyone else, just want to keep it in the Family, where it belongs.
