Bob,

I don't remember anyone having a TV during my first year in the old company area. I do remember one during 1969 in the new area. Most of the guys were into the big reel to reel recorders and a few had radios. I remember flying to and from missions listening to the music on the radio. During the day we listened to the ship to ship chatter and the F.M. radio as we talked to the guys on the ground.

The word free time was something that was rare. During the monsoon season was about the only time I can remember being at Holloway during the day with nothing to do. But then we were on stand-by so we didn't stray to far from the hootches.

Come to think of it between pre-flight, post-flight, intermediate inspections, PE's, flying missions, guard duty, flare stand-by and the mortar attacks that didn't leave much time for anything else.

Most of the movies on that list are still being show on TV so I guess that part hasn't advanced to far. The songs are the ones that really hit home. I sometimes hear them and I can't remember anything but the time I spent there.
