Dear Lorraine,

Hi! Honey, how are you? I doing OK, we are leaving for Camp Lane tomorrow morning so I have been packing some things in my spare time. I still have to get some tools together since I know I’ll have to pull at least one inspection while we are there. I talked to Mr. Daniel today about changing places with me for the flight to Lane. He has wanted to goof around with my machine gun and I am hoping Mr. Dobbs will give me some stick time. If anything happens to them we are screwed but with a little experience I could at least pull off a controlled crash somewhere. Mr. Daniel is our Peter Pilot, I guess you could say he is in training to become an AC when he gets enough experience. He has already been through flight school and fly’s very good but Mr. Dobbs doesn’t let him fly much. You can only learn so much by watching.

We only flew half of today so we can prepare for tomorrow. If I don’t write much its because we are very busy, so don’t worry. I sent you a Christmas card last week hoping it will get to you on time.

I still have some things to do so I’ll close now.
