Dear Lorraine,

Hi! Honey how are you? I’m fine and am sitting in our Tent struggling to get this letter out to you. I know I have to write but sometimes I feel like I’m saying the same thing over and over. You have been terrific about writing and I really appreciate that. My problem is that some days I just can’t.

I was back at Pleiku for two days to do a PE on my ship and that was great. It was almost like being home. I can’t believe that I think of Holloway as home. I just feel more secure there. That does not make much sense because Holloway has been hit with Mortars several times while we have been away. I know you asked about that because you saw it on the news but its nothing to worry about, we are not even close to Pleiku.

We are still here at Camp Lane working with the 25th Infantry and every now and then the Koreans. The days are spent moving troops a few CA’s and lots of re-supply. The good thing is we haven’t had much contact with the VC.

Sorry but I’m really out of things to say. Please remember that I Miss You and Love you. I will try to do better with the writing.
