OK My turn again . Do any of you remember Mr. Charlie Berryhill? He was my AC. Well one night we had some VC POW's and we was takeing them to Playgeran SF Camp . When we landed the Commander of the camp wanted to talk to charlie so he got out and went in the bunker and came out in about 5 min. He said here it is Im going to fly this thing and the pilot will stay here. Then he looked at Norton and myself and said one of you will stay back. We wanted to know what the mission was. The SF was in a fire fight and was running out of ammo and we had to take some up to them. Thats when I said we all go OK.
Well it was dark and when we got up there we had to hover under the tall ass trees with the landing light on in a fire fight. We kicked out the ammo and pulled a SP4 in who was shot in the chest. Then we had to back out and lay down cover fire at the same time. About 3 years later when I was working at Ft wolters one of the IP's told me there was someone in the classroom that wanted to see me. When I got in there was a 2LT setting there . He said do you remember me I said no , he said Im the guy you pulled in that nigth on the hill. (it made me feel good that he came by to thank me ) WILLIE
