I had several years in service before flight school and was the 'old codger" maint officer (I was about 26) who drove you youngsters of 19 to distraction with my requests, but that is why I was in the 545th. To make sure the spinner stayed on top and sled runners on the bottom. (I really love all that technical talk-))
