Yeah, closer to I-30 than I-20 and closer to Texarkana than Marshall, but still nearby. My mom and lil brother were in the Houston area this weekend visiting my sister and her kids. Haven't talked to them since they got home, and haven't heard much from "our" immediate area. Seems the debris path was more south.

A terrible, terrible tragic ending for a flight/mission that had progressed so well. Still, NASA is to commended: Seventeen years between serious accidents in the most dangerous job "on" Earth, outside of war, is really something. I have heard they had ditched their safety guys; as I recall, the Challenger disaster also came about amid them ignoring their safety guys. Should be a MAJOR lesson here. Reckon they'll actually learn it?
