True Story. Ship from the 189th is parked at LZ Blackhawk. They had been C&C for convoys the better part of the week. Pilots were in the CP and the enlisted crew was bored. Decided to try and ride a water buffalo that was enjoying his lunch near the pad. One thing led to another and the buffalo charged the crew. They quickly jumped into the ship thinking that would deter the beast. WRONG! Buffalo rams tail boom and almost tears it off. Swear to God. We ended up have to complete the damn convoy C&C and I saw the ship. I would have loved to hear that one being explained to the maintainence officer.
