Couple days after that, I'm walking around Polei Kleng in the middle of the day, on the end towards that arty firebase that was there, and the incoming starts again.

Being awake and alert and fleet of foot, I run and dive under a 5-ton truck, whew, safe at last, overhead cover.

During a little pause in the incoming, it occurs to me to peek up on top of the truck. The truck is loaded with several tons of artillery shells.
