Joe Kline which is a former crew chief and now a aviation artist has released his latest work. Titled God's Lunatics it pictures a UH-1H making a Hot Lrrp extraction. I already have two of his prints. I plan on getting this one and using the crew member wings that Bob T. has worked so long and hard to get for us to complete my den.

I have mixed emotions because I wish I had felt this kind of pride thirty plus years ago when I got out of the army. I came home and put my past in a duffle bag and tossed it into my mom's basement and tried to keep it a secret. Being a Vietnam vet was not the thing to be when applying for a job and starting a life. We all have our stories and we all dealt with it differently. For my twenty-fifth wedding ann. my wife and my children dig my awards out and had them mounted in a display case. I had never told them much of anything that happened over there. In the past seven years I have been able to tell them about it and having the great people on this site who were there and those that weren't but are able to understand has helped a lot.
