I met a guy at the HAI who had recently returned from Vietnam. He visited several of the old places there with his wife. One place was Holloway. He could not get on base because it is still a military compound of some kind. He went close to some of the old places near the border where he was shot down. He could see the location but could not get real close. Seems the borders are closed due to "mountainyard activity", whatever the heck that means.
He said most of the old bases have been bulldozed.
He said most of the cemetaries have been bulldozed for those who died between 1965 and 1975. If the dead was VC they were moved to another graveyard. For folks who worship their ancestors that is unthinkable!.

In his visit to Siagon and several other cities he said he did not see a single amerasian kid. Not one Face! He asked his guide/minder about it. The guide said 'they all go america" ( We all KNOW that is BS)
Then, as time passed he and his guide got to drinking beer and stuff. He asked the question again. What happened to the thousands of amerasian kids? Well, it seems they were sent to "re-education camps" as they grew older. Then, those that were released were not permitted to be employed in any job. They became thieves and such. As they did, they were taken by the police into the criminal system and disappeard. My source thinks they might be dead.
He said he saw ONE young man with a western look to him and it was near Hanoi. He suspected the dad may have been Russian.
The question is; What happened to the kids?
10 to 15 years go we heard a lot about them, then they went off the radar. I have read or heard very little about them, I mean almost nothing, for the last 10 to 12 years. Why? Did the reds conduct genocide? and it was hushed up? Did the socialist bastards get away with murder again without a single peep from the USA or it's vaunted free press? I never had kids over there, but I sure as hell felt sorry for them. They deserved a better fate than to die because of their accident of birth. So much for the vaunted communist / socialist equality and diversity that is preached about as the politically correct world.
