I agree. I keep My 870 in the corner and My Colt .45 in the drawer beside my bed. My 9 mm baby eagle or my Beretta .32 cal alley cat are always in my pocket or on my person. I am legal. As a matter of fact, a Texas State trooper really admired my little ally cat the other day. He liked it better than his Smith .380 hide out gun because I had speer gold dots in it. A real ass kicker inside 10 feet. So if a guy brings a knife to a gun fight, he may have a slight problem.
My opinion only; A 50 cal hand gun is BS. Way too much kick and way to hard to control and way to dangerous to by-standers. I damned near broke my wrist with a hopped up 44 magnum once. Fired one round. That was enough for me. I will say this, When you fire that sucker into a crowded room you KNOW the lights are going to go out.
