All that sounds familiar, Mix-

My Mrs. was against my getting the first one I'd owned in years (since before 'Nam), but I got it anyway. Normal fears of keeping it away from the kids, and all that.
Well, I was raised around them, got my first Daisy
at five or six, and was shooting in competition by ten. Needless to say, the only accidental discharge I ever had was that Daisy , in the house, at about seven, and did I pay for it !!

My Mrs. was always afraid that having a gun in the house was more of a threat to us than to an intruder, and she insisted that she could defend herself and the kids in my absence with a baseball bat, or whatever. This was in the days before home invasion burglaries were so common, and of course, the threat of terrorism on our shores.

Since my daughter was robbed at the local Pizza Hut, (and it was a nasty affair) things have changed. Now, my son, daughter, son-in-law and I shoot. Of the five families at my daughter's at Christmas, all but one of the adult males were packin', legally.

Funny thing is- the last time she and I went to a gun show, I showed her several guns I thought she might like, and she still insisted she didn't want or need one... till she saw this cute little brightly colored LadySmith... end of struggle...

Women.
