In about August of 67 I was DEROS shuffeled to the 189th to provide some experience to the newly arrived AHC. My living quarters went from the Nice hooches with cement floors to a Tent with poorley constructed wood floors. The surrounding area outside was dirt when dry and mud when wet. I used to walk back up to the 119th area to shower and was always welcome. The area for the 189th was down at the end of the runway.
