Not very well. I never had the pleasure of flying with him but knew of his capabilities. As a Crew Chief you always knew which Pilots to avoid if possible and Mr. Chase was not one of them.

My tour in Nam was from Oct. 66 to Oct. 67. I live in the Washington DC Metro area and get to "The Wall" several times each year. I always carry a list in my wallet with the names of 119th KIA's and MIA's and make it a point to stop at each Panel and touch each name.

If you have never had the opportunity to visit the Memorial here I would be glad to stop by one day soon and make some rubbings for you and take a few pictures of the panel and your Uncles name. I have done this for others and find it a very peaceful place to visit.

I'm glad you have stopped by this site and hope you will continue to visit. We do get a little crusty from time to time but the guys and gals here are sincere.
