The 40 inch chain will yield 4 bracelets with 4 1/2" left over for something. Some one who is really handy at welding might be able to put Aircrew wings between the ends and have a very unique bracelet. The Aircrew Wings measure 2 1/2" tip to tip. A jewler might be able to design a clasp that would ocupy the needed 1 3/4 inches making 8 3/4 inches total length.

This is just a thought for someone who is handy.
