Yeah, George I remember that. We put the 1/22 into Winnie, and then in early Sept we put the 3/12 into a new FSB nearby to the SW. We had a brand new CO then, a Maj. Conrad who took over on Aug. 31, and he C&C'd a CA about that time -- 300 troops with the Gators and Gladiators doing the lift and the Crocs and Cougars providing gun support. He had a weird way of running CA's; wanted us to fly all lifts in formation. Ever been on a slick trying to land with two or three others in a 60 ft diameter hole all at the same time? No fun, that.
