Yes, I have checked out the Hirch engine, via visiting the local representative in San Antonio. This is a well designed German engine with proven results. The 115 hp engine is actually two of the engines bolted together to give the additional power. It is a strong engine and the vendor reported no major problems with any of the engines. The people at American Sportscopter swear by the engine. They declair hundreds of hours without a failure.
