Lake Texhoma is almost 400 miles from the gulf along the Texas Oklahoma border. It is approx 100 Square miles in size. The bass are Gulf fish that have been adapted to the lake and are now indigenous to it. They grow to over 30 pounds but the size I posted ( 8 to 12 pounds) are the best eating.
We caught them in 25 to 60 feet of water on artificial lures using downriggers to control the depth.
There are smaller ones that have crossed with sand bass and are fighting SOBs I am told. Never caught one myself.
