I made some progress today on the Archives section.

I added a button at the top for "Archives". This does not link to anything just yet, it will in the coming week.

I chose a search engine tool and was able to run a couple of tests this eveing on a 4 page .pdf file that I scanned/OCR'd last week.

It took me some time to find a search engine that would index the contents of a .pdf file and also gave me the ability to limit the search to just the directory I was storing the files in. This one seems to have the configuration options we need and seems to do a good job of indexing. It allows me to run the time consuming indexing process up front so the searches are quick when you run them in your browser. This was an important feature because .pdf files are big and can be terrible to index, really bogging down search engines... I don't know about you, but I hate waiting for my searches to come back....

So it looks pretty good so far. Like I said, I should have the page up soon. Getting everything scanned in is another story...
