Just spoke to my daughter on the phone, and she said that earlier today on the tube (a local FOX Station), there was coverage of an event at Washington-Dulles Airport, involving over a hundred motorcycle riders, riding up the runway in the configuration of a helicopter, and followed by two fire trucks, with their ladders extended and crossed. She said the commentator stated that the crossed ladders were in commemoration of fallen Firefighters in NY on 9/11. As I recall, there were 343 of them.
My daughter didn't see the whole clip, and doesn't have any idea who these riders were... any guesses?
I'd wager there were more than a few 'Nam Vet pilots and crewmembers involved.
I sure do hope they show it again.
