If you look at the top of the posting board there is an option called (un)subscribe. Click on that, fill in your email address, select Add address to list and click send address. That's all there is to it.. This will add you to a list of people that already get notification via email whenever someone posts a new message. It's more than notification, it's actually a copy of the message itself.

The notification of new profile is a feature in the newer version of this posting board application. We will be updating to that in the near future.
