On board Fellas. I have been reading your posts for about a year now and I thought it was about time I introduced myself.

I am a medically retired Army Warrant Officer who spends his days now helping Navy recruits get their sea-legs by counseling (go figure). It's not too difficult for me to do given my handicap and lets me keep my hand in.

Although I came in as an enlisted man during the Vietnam War and had signed up for 67A (Helicopter Maintenance)hoping to get a glimpse of the Big Show, I did not get a chance to serve in-country as the Army cancelled my contract before I finished boot camp. I reclassed to Wheel vehicle mechanic (63B). I have had my moments wrenching and I wouldn't change a thing about my career path. Still, I have had a special affinity for the people who flew during their time. It took a lot of guts.
