If that critter had gotten close to me,the only photo would have been of my butt going out the dock gate.. fast!
Now for the rest of the story. I told you I also caught a catfish to test my Grand daddy's dough recipe. Before we started for home I stopped back by the boat to see about the cat fish and a large snake was on top, trying to get into the floating basket that housed the the fish. I decided then and there that the snake owned that fish and could have it as a pet. But just in case he did not get at it, I told the lady who runs the little bait shop near the dock that she could have the cat fish if the snake was gone. It was about a 3 pounder and big enough for a light snack of fillets. I loves to go fishing. It is the catching and cleaning that is the pain in the butt.
