I don't mean to have you relive old memories, but one of the 119 pilots, WO1 Robert "Bunny" Storey, was a best friend of mine when we lived at Blytheville AFB, Arkansas and during high school. All of us (his friends during this time) did not come to learn about his death until 1985!!!!! When he died, we were all in school or in the military and his father had transferred to Grand Forks AFB in North Dakota, and that is where his body was sent to. His parents didn't notify us.
I learned today that perhaps WO Storey was supporting BLT/2/7 on Operation Meade River when he was killed.
I have often wondered about the circumstances. Someone told me he had a picture taped to his chest of me and him drinking in New Orleans when we were there in 66.
Again, if I have brought back somethings that are hurtful to you, I am sorry.
