You're right Bob, it was Tom Shook who was the gunner on 409. Maybe he will share the story of the naming of the ship. Someone mentioned that 409 was a battle loss and that some didn't make it back from the crash. Would appreciate knowing what happened to the War Wagon. I never met Pyland or if I did I don't remember it, just know that Lt. Sheldon, (Light Blue) was the A/C before Lt. Nilius, my pilot. I think Touchstone took over 409 from me in late 68 or early 69 and I still can't remember when my gunner, one Robert Alexovich left country. Sad how the memories fade. Thanks Bob
