In two days it will be 36 years. That day CROC 594 was shoot down outside of Dak To. The 119th lost Mr. Hewitt and Mr. Chase on that day. I was setting right behind Mr. Chase with Wilcox on my right and Mr. Hewitt in front of him. We rolled in on a big gun that had started to fire on the GATORS. That is when it started to go bad. I don't know how or why Willy and I kept from ending up KIA that day. It hurts not knowing why. The how is that the rest of you came into that hell and pull us out.

BIG THANKS GUYS

ps. Just got a letter from NARA.
"We searched the records of the 119th Aviation Company,52nd Aviation Battalion, 17th Aviation Group, and 1st Aviation Brigade, but were unable to fine documentation on any reccommendations for awards or citation relating to the halicopter crash on Novenber 10,1967.We did locate maintenance records for the Aircraft #66-00594 but they did not include information on the crash."

Mr. Hewitt and Mr. Chase gave all they had so we could live free.

LET US NOT FORGET THEM
