Lumpy, A lot of the shotgunners were TDY from Hawaii and the 25th Division to the 119th. And folks who were TDY or attached seemed to drop off the world as far as 119th rosters are concerned. I was in the 119th for 3 weeks in December 1966 then assigned to the 545th TC det. and 'Attached" to the 119th. I do not know what the story is but I still say some folks in the orderly room were lax because I have orders flying for the 119th, pulling guard for the 119th, gettiong paymaster orders for the 119th and photographs of me in both the 119th and the 545th and NOT ONE FRIGGING 119th ROSTER has my name on it. So do NOT let the absence of a name on a roster cause you to write off a potential brother. You will be able to tell after 15 mins. of talking to him whether or not he was there, and if he was a Gator.
