I just wish I hadn't jumped at the chance to leave in December when I did. Left a lot of Bros behind, and have never heard again from any of them.

At least none of them are on The Wall.

I'd extended thru April '71 for an early out, and it was approved, but since my extension hadn't started and 119th had "march ordered", I was given the option of staying at HHC or going home. The First Shirt at HHC gave me about 30 seconds to decide, and, well... I can't say it "don't mean nuthin"...

I never did "crew", but did several test flights, and a recovery somewhere near Plei Djereng, unless I was lost....even got fired upon one night over Blackhawk. Scary shit. Even just once.

My hat's REALLY off to you guys who endured that crap daily... and nightly. Big nuts.
