Jeez, Bob-
I wasn't askin' for one, BUT- if a piece did materialize without having a destination on the wrist of a truly deserving person- you know what I mean- I'd proudly give it a home. and I'm enough of a Jury Rigger to make it work somehow, attachments or not... and I, too have a 'Nam grenade pin and ring.....
I would even welcome enough (1/2 to 3/4 inch or so) to silver-solder to a plain band, just on the face of it. (I guess I AM asking now...I'm SO ashamed )
I was talking with my boss today about the eBay chain, and he said that someone was selling bracelet-sized pieces at Thunder Alley in D.C., last time Rolling Thunder was on. Expensive, too, about $100. He said he was told that the proceeds went to benefit Nam Vets. Good thing.
Hopefully, none were purchased by No-goods.
Sorta reminds me of the overwhelming number of PX soldiers I heard tell of having left Harleys at home when they were drafted. I really don't think AMF made THAT many.
Hey, Ron Carey gave me one of his "unscheduled landings".. guess I'm good to go, if I wasn't before Thanks, Ron!
Lumpster ( <- so-named by Doc.
I'm in for the duration...)
