Dear Lorraine,

Hi! Honey. I hope you are doing well. I have some spare time now so I will write a few lines.

We haven’t done much flying today, it rained until about 9:00 this morning then we picked up the Col. and headed to a field artillery base. We are just sitting here waiting. So far the weather looks good and it seems to be clear in the mountains. If all goes as usual it will rain again about 5:00 just in time for post flight back at Holloway.

I got a letter from you yesterday and you said you are going to take some summer classes. That should make next semester a little easier or do you still plan to take a full load. You also asked me if I know when I’m coming home and the answer is not exactly. Even if I did know I won’t tell you since it makes it worse. We would both be counting the days and that makes it seem longer. I don’t need to be thinking about how many days are left I need to be thinking about my job. I still think about you and home and I miss all of it. Some times I wake up at night wondering if I checked everything on the ship then it’s hard to get back to sleep. I know it’s just this place messing with me but I can’t ignore it.

Sorry for going off the deep end, it happens and for some reason today is not a good day in my mind. Maybe it would be better if I close for now. Just remember how much I love you and miss you.

Tom
