Just an FYI for all of you that are getting into eBay.....

There are a number of scam emails floating around lately asking you to update your account information in eBay. Most it is obvious that they are spoofs. I came across one a couple of days ago however, that was a little more professional than the others and was modeled exactly like an eBay email. I looked into the code behind the email and the links went to ebay-c.com. Using a generic browser so none of my information could be captured I checked out the site. This site was exactly like ebay.... when I say exactly, I mean to the "T". Anyone not paying close attention to the URL would have thought it was legit. I notified eBay and they had the site shut down....

Be VERY careful with these. A general rule of thumb is that companies will NEVER ask you to update your account information or provide credit card or personal information once your account has been created.

These chumps are getting pretty sophisticated, be careful.
