I arrived at Fort Sill, assigned to the 643rd TC Det, (CHFM) in Jan '71. Less than eight months to ETS. As a SP5, 35M, I was one of about 15 overstrength. NO chance to perform in my primary, and I could type, so I was made the legal clerk for the battalion, the 21st Avn Bn.

Mostly, I processed Chapter 13 discharges for unfitness/unsuitability, "Section 8s", Article 15s- for failure to repair, out-of-uniform, etc. Piddly-assed stuff.

Felt really bad for coming home, but did not try to go back. I still don't know why.
